I'm probably WAY behind the curve on this one but I just made a
wonderful discovery. In case any of you don't already know about it, I
thought I'd share my discovery. I use Firefox and there's a free
add-on available for download for this browser called Adblock (or
Adblock Plus) that gets rid of that annoying advertising at the top of
Yahoo! pages. Yay!!! I feel so liberated. Funhog

Well, Funhog,,,
I don't have Firefox, but those ads popped up on Internet Explorer,
too... However, one with IE (and I thought any other browser) can go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/letterbox-usa/join
Put in your Yahoo ID, if requested, and at the bottom of the box,
change your settings to "Traditional", from the "Fully Featured New &
Improved!" setting, which is all the advertisement banners.

I think the Hog was happy since Firefox is a little boutique browser and not many applications are made for it. I appreciate the heads up since I use Firefox exclusively since 2003 thanks to the maestro de Maine and wasn't aware of this cool little extension!
Thanks Hog!
